PEACE SQUARE

(SAO PAULO BRAZIL 2020)

(INSTIUTIONAL)

A Square to Shelter Emotions

Our proposal goes beyond a physical space: we want to create a refuge for the senses, a place where nature and architecture meet to welcome, calm and transform.

Upon entering the square, visitors will feel the cool shade of the trees, the gentle touch of the wind and the aroma of the earth and vegetation. The sound of the water running through the pond brings with it a natural melody that invites tranquility, while the strategically positioned wooden benches offer a place to pause and absorb the serenity of the environment.

We have thought of every detail to provide an invisible embrace, a space that conveys warmth and security. The sunlight filtered through the treetops creates dynamic shadow plays throughout the day, providing different atmospheres for moments of reflection or spontaneous encounters.

In addition to welcoming those in need of a moment of peace, this square challenges prejudices and redefines the perception of a psychiatric hospital. Unlike rigid buildings marked by excessive rationality, our proposal highlights human presence and the relationship with nature as the true protagonists of the space.

Sensory Experience and Functionality

Water as a therapeutic element: The water mirror not only cools the environment, but also creates an interactive experience, where the sound and shine of the moving water stimulate relaxation and relaxation.

Natural textures and materials: Stone paths, trunks converted into benches and wooden structures bring warmth and an organic touch to the space.

Natural ambient sound: Birdsong, rustling leaves and running water create a sound backdrop that reinforces the feeling of peace.

Staying and leisure facilities: An outdoor gym, a children's playground strategically positioned in the shaded area and a multipurpose pavilion ensure that the space is dynamic and welcoming, inviting people to stay as long as they want.

Our goal is for every person who passes through this square to feel welcomed, connected and, above all, at peace. More than a place to pass through, this square is an invitation to feel, breathe and allow yourself to live in the present.
